Gurus IX Sponsor/Speaker Dinner

Dinner Co-Chair Sally Wilkins and committee member Jeffre Dreyer share a laugh with Master Gardener Carol Baugh on Gurus Eve before guests arrive for the evening's festivities.  Gurus Sponsors and guests were treated to a selection of Kentucky wines upon arriving at Renee's.  Each dinner table was decorated in a gardening theme chosen and executed by the table hostess.

After dinner, sponsors were photographed with the featured speakers, Judy Glattstein and Gordon Hayward.  Signed plaques incorporating the photos were presented to the sponsors on Gurus Day.

At left, Chuck and Pam Wahl of Wahl's Landscape & Garden Shoppe pose with Judy and Gordon.  Chuck and Pam presented "Ironing in the Garden" at Gurus IX.  Below, Crystal Sanders and Ed Sanders of James Sanders Nursery take their turn in front of the camera.  Sanders Nursery sponsored Gordon's Paducah appearance.   Both James Sanders Nursery and Wahl's have sponsored Garden Gurus since its beginning in 1999.

Later that evening, PAMGA hosted a dessert reception and book signing for Master Gardeners and guests.  It was an excellent opportunity to chat with our speakers, get an autograph or two, and thank our sponsors for their generous participation in and financial support of our "daylong celebration of gardening."  At left, Beth Garey reads an inscription.  Beth hosted Judy in her during her Paducah stay.

The night air was filled with anticipation and laughter as Master Gardeners talked about the year's accomplishments and eagerly awaited Garden Gurus IX - Dream, Draw, Dig!
